The U.S. health care system operates in an intense; dynamic; and complex environment. As never before; we should understand the key components of this system; including its environment and emerging trends. This course is an overview of the health care system; including its components; how we pay for health care; and how health care is delivered. Students analyze the impact of events and political decisions on the health care system and prepare a comparison between the current US system and a foreign healthcare system – highlighting the differences and similarities; advantages and disadvantages.
