In this three-credit graduate level course; we explore public health concepts and issues in community health in the United States. There is a focus on a wide array of health professions and institutions engaged in public health. Topics covered include individual; social and environmental determinants of health and disease; including epidemiological concepts and methods for gathering information in the public health area; as well as a description of risks.
